Switchboard

Your desktop. Your workflow.

All your agents, one key away.

Status remains visible from anywhere on your machine. When an agent needs approval, switch into its terminal at a keystroke.

Stay in your flow

From a signal to the right session.

01 / keep working

Let your agents run.

Read, research, or work in another project. Switchboard discovers your Claude Code, Codex, and Pi sessions without pre-naming or registration.

02 / notice

A signal, not a ping.

A session’s color changes in the bar you already use. Nothing pops up; you look when it suits you. Pick your own colors, labels, icons, and layout.

03 / jump

One shortcut. Exact pane.

Bind a key to the session that needs attention, or click its bar entry. Switchboard focuses the right window and terminal pane, including when a child agent is waiting.

Fits your environment

Keep the setup you like.

Your terminal, window manager, and bar stay part of the workflow. Switchboard adds the connection between an agent asking for attention and the place you answer it.

Place sessions in your existing bar or a separate strip. Choose named chips, minimal dots, or your own design. Toggle the display for focus; your navigation shortcuts keep working.

Navigate

Supported desktop + terminal

Click a session or use your chosen shortcut to focus its window and pane. Switchboard detects supported integrations at runtime.

Display it your way

Every Linux box

Session data is available to any bar, script, or custom UI. Without a navigation integration, you can still see your sessions, even over SSH.

Get started

Make the connection.

Install Switchboard and start the daemon. Add sessions to your bar and bind one key to the highest-priority agent and two more to step through the rest.

Navigation requires a supported window manager and terminal. The terminal UI works on any Linux box.

Optional add-on / dashboard

Want to look back at the day?

Add the companion dashboard for project timelines, attention summaries, and cost estimates. Enable local activity history when you want it; recording is off by default.

Your bar and navigation work without the dashboard.
